Around a year after the official start of the project, the SENSEI partners gathered at INGV in Roma, on November 12-13th to review progress and plan the next steps across all work packages:
- WP1: technical progress on the development of novel photonic for strain measurement in optical fibres,
- WP2: first advancements regarding the implementation of the developed techniques in various real-field scenarios: in Iceland, Italy, Malta, and France,
- WP3: Advancements in designing a global, intelligent network architecture, including protocols enabling seamless communication between sensing nodes and the network control layer,
- WP4: presentations on the implementation of five real-world showcases demonstrating the technologies developed within the project,
- WP5: Updates on communication and dissemination activities aimed at engaging a broader audience and ensuring systematic, FAIR-compliant dataset collection,
- WP6: Review of project coordination, deadlines, and synergies to ensure efficient progress towards ambitious objectives.
The partners were delighted to meet face-to-face, strengthen collaboration, and build the human connections that are essential for a successful European project.
Stay tuned, as SENSEI partners are on track to disclose some first results. A technical workshop will take place in around a year to discuss these outcomes with the broader community.
