SENSEI at EFTF2026

Scientists from INRIM joined the European Frequency and Time Forum (EFTF 2026), held at the European Space Agency (ESA-ESTEC) in Noordwijk (NL), end of April.

  • INRIM team presented recent achievements of laser interferometry, showing the ability to identify and localize events relevant to cable safety. They also highlighted progress toward miniaturized yet highly coherent laser interrogators — a key step toward enabling widespread adoption.
  • Cecilia Clivati, INRIM researcher and SENSEI coordinator, gave a 1.5 h tutorial on laser interferometry and its applications to fiber sensing on the global telecommunication network, presenting the SENSEI project and its major achievements after 1.5 years.
