A year and a half after the official start of the project, the SENSEI partners gathered at GFZ in Postdam, on April 28-29th to review progress and plan the next steps across all work packages.
- Technical progress on the development of novel photonics for strain measurement in optical fibres: prototypes of phase-based sensing devices were released and successfully installed in the field. Data collection is already up and running in Iceland, Italy and the southern Mediterranean Sea.
- A global, intelligent network architecture for integrated communication and sensing was designed, including protocols enabling seamless communication between sensing nodes and the network control layer. Check out our recent publications!
